- This is sad and actually makes me angry. My "best friend" in college, and I grew apart. We are completely far apart in lifestyles, finances, politics, and philosophies, but I would never drop him because of our differences. We still find common ground when we get together.

- He's a smart guy. A little prison time will help him focus that intellect on something more productive than vandalism and pranks. In our society, we value intellect, and he deserves another change in 6 or 7 years.

- If he is already been arrested for drugs, he's a scum bag. The settlement should have had a stipulation that he wouldn't be arrested for at least the first 2 years after he was released. He may not have murdered anyone in the first place, but the system kept a criminal out of society for 16 years.

- I love my local Mexican restaurant owned and managed by legal immigrants. They would say that eating Tacos is a compliment. I'm serious. This comment is offensive to those who are innately discriminatory themselves. Sorry, I don't live in a city where Mexicans are viewed as thugs and gangsters.

- I like free stuff just like anyone, but if royalties aren't paid, the best of the best won't get written and performed. We have the best music, books, movies, and performers because the rewards are great.

- Stupid public. You get a free education, and expect the teachers to pamper kids to make them behave and learn. Countries around the world keep their best students in school and turn out who aren't academic and who disrupt the real learners, but not us.
